TOPIC 2: INTRODUCTION TO PHONOLOGY
Phonology is the study of the sound system of languages. This topic includes knowledge on how we speak correctly according to the correct usage of our speech organs. We will know how is the sound of each words, consist of consonants, vowels and diphthong. This knowledge is very important to train us to speak fluent English rather than speaking according to our mother tongue slang.
In this topic also, we have been introduced to a chart of alphabets with their sounds. This chart includes consonants and vowels sound and also diphthong. From the chart we can simply understand the connection between symbols and its sound.

Beside that, we also learned on how to transform a phrase or a sentence written in alphabet into a sentence written in symbol. It is an interesting and challenging activity because there is sometime an alphabet is not symbolized the same as its actual alphabet’s form.
One of the activities that can be used to improve student’s fluency in pronouncing a word is by doing tongue twister activity. There are many example of tongue twister that can be use. The tongue twister activity is a good activity because it help students to develop their skills in pronouncing words fluently according its actual way and speech organ.
