Phonology is the study of the sound system of languages. This topic includes knowledge on how we speak correctly according to the correct usage of our speech organs. We will know how is the sound of each words, consist of consonants, vowels and diphthong. This knowledge is very important to train us to speak fluent English rather than speaking according to our mother tongue slang.
In this topic also, we have been introduced to a chart of alphabets with their sounds. This chart includes consonants and vowels sound and also diphthong. From the chart we can simply understand the connection between symbols and its sound.

More detailed on http://www.teachit.co.uk/armoore/lang/phonology.htm

Beside that, we also learned on how to transform a phrase or a sentence written in alphabet into a sentence written in symbol. It is an interesting and challenging activity because there is sometime an alphabet is not symbolized the same as its actual alphabet’s form.
One of the activities that can be used to improve student’s fluency in pronouncing a word is by doing tongue twister activity. There are many example of tongue twister that can be use. The tongue twister activity is a good activity because it help students to develop their skills in pronouncing words fluently according its actual way and speech organ.

In this semester 5, we have a subject named English For Language Teacher. In this subject, we are thought about phonology, sentence structure and other. The first topic that we learned is Language and Communications.

In this topic, we’ve learned about speech organs, English sound, how the English sound formed and others. For me, it is an interesting topic because this is a chance for me to improve my pronounciation of words, pronouns the word in correct way and can improve my understanding on various type of word structures in English.

Beside that, we also learned about speech organs. It consists of several organs in our body such as tongue, teeth, nose, lips, thorax, pharynx and many other. During class session, we have been asked to test it ourselves how the sound is produced with all speech organs.

Besides, we’ve learned about speech production. There are 3 sound (auditory) production processes. There are initiation, phonation and articulation. Other than that, we also learned about vowel sound, consonant sound and diftong sound. It gives us clearer view on the difference among alphabet and its sound. It is also an interesting aspect to be learned because we can identiy the correct way on pronouncing a word.

In this topic, we have learned about consonant and vowel sound. They can be described according to where they are produced and how they are produced. Consonant sound can be produced by many ways such as stop, affricate, nasal, fricative, approximant and lateral approximant. In other way, vowel is a sound without detectable change in quality from beginning to end. It is the results of changing the shape and the position of the tongue and the lips.

There are 2 main types of vowel which is simple vowels or monophthongs and diphthongs. The vowel and consonant in English is similar with Bahasa Malaysia but there are some differences among them. It is interesting to learn it. It gives me opportunity to speaks more fluently in English.

Chorus
Blue is the colour, football is the game
We're all together, and winning is our aim
So cheer us on through the sun and rain
'cause Chelsea, Chelsea is our name
Verse 1
Here at the Bridge whether rain or fine
We can shine all the time
Home or away, come and see us play
You're welcome any day
Chorus
Blue is the colour, football is the game
We're all together, and winning is our aim
So cheer us on through the sun and rain
'cause Chelsea, Chelsea is our name
Verse 2
Come to the Shed and we'll welcome you
Wear your blue and see us through
Sing loud and clear until the game is done
Sing Chelsea everyone.
